Colon Problems and Colon Diseases

We look here are the two most common colon problems; constipation and the disease of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). We will look at how both these problems can be helped with colon cleansing and associated methods.

CONSTIPATION
This is an uncomfortable condition which affects very many people. It usually comes about because of a combination of:

  1. Habitually 'holding on' to a bowel movement when you have the urge to go. This might have been a habit from childhood.
  2. Low content of natural fibre in the diet - for example, vegetables, especially raw vegetables, have high natural fibre, and we recommend at least 60 percent of the diet should be vegetables. On the other hand, junk food usually contains very low fibre, and the colon, or bowel, cannot grip it.
  3. Drinking insufficient water. Water makes the stools softer and easier to pass through. 2 litres of (preferably chlorine-free) water a day is a good amount to drink.
  4. Low levels of exercise. Exercise will often help bowel function.

Treatment
